voting seems pretty useless, when in fact that exactly what they want you to think. pissing away an opportunity that others would kill for. instead, do the damn thing and get out there. above, rick mercer really lays it down, explaining the way our contrived little sub-government works. and this is a really great resource for seeing how your beliefs lie in relation to those of the candidates. also brings to light the most relevant issues that we’re dealing with as a nation right now. go do some fucking research and go vote.

also, if (and this is entirely likely) you don’t want to vote for any of the nefarious characters who are running, it is just as powerful (if not more) to cast an empty ballot.

love compared by nizar qabbani

i do not resemble your other lovers, my lady
should another give you a cloud
i give you rain
should he give you a lantern,
i will give you the moon
should he give you a branch
i will give you the trees
and if another gives you a ship
i shall give you the journey.
